Gary joined Healds in 1988 after many years working for the Local Authority. He became a Partner in 1995 and specialises in all aspects of Commercial law. When he isn’t working (which isn’t often) Gary is an avid supporter of Wigan Athletic. He has also started training for the Wainwright Coast to Coast walk which he hopes to complete on behalf of Derian House Childrens Hospice, Help for Heroes and the Alzheimer’s Society early next year.

Katie was educated locally before graduating with an LLB Honours law degree from The University of Liverpool. Following this she completed the Legal Practice Course at The College of Law where she obtained a distinction. Katie completed her legal training with Healds during which time she gained experience in a number of different areas of law. She now practises as a Solicitor within the Commercial Department dealing with a varied caseload including commercial purchases and sales, possession claims, matters relating to commercial leases, small claims and bankruptcy proceedings.

In addition to this Katie also prosecutes benefit fraud cases at the local Magistrates Court on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions.
