Barry is the Senior Partner in the firm and head of the Personal Injury Department. He joined the firm in 1971 as an Articled Clerk and has been here ever since! After trying his hand at other areas of the law Barry became interested in personal injury work and has specialised in that work for over 25 years. He is a member of the Law Society Personal Injury Panel and is accredited as a Senior Litigator by the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers.

Away from the office Barry is keen on all sports especially golf, rugby (both codes) and football. He is a former captain of Newton le Willows RUFC and a current season ticket holder at Wigan Athletic. He enjoys keeping fit, cooking, travel, and is an enthusiastic although extremely limited, guitarist

Peter is a legal Executive in the Personal Injury Department. He holds a BA (Law) Degree and is also a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives and a member of The Law Society’s Personal Injury Panel. He has worked in the law since 1987 and joined Healds in 1992. Peter has done all aspects of personal injury work and has handled a number of serious injury claims involving head injuries.

Away from work Peter enjoys reading, travel, wildlife and learning languages with varying degrees of success.

Trafina is a Solicitor within the Personal Injury Department and is also a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives. She has been a member of the Department for over 13 years. Throughout her employment with Healds Trafina has dealt with all types of personal injury cases, including road traffic accidents, employers’ liability, holiday and public liability cases. She also deals with claims to the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority and Motor Insurers Bureau.
